Our Location

We are located in Petoskey, Michigan, a lakeside resort community nestled on the shores of Little Traverse Bay on Lake Michigan. Petoskey is known for its Victorian architecture, historic Gaslight Shopping District and of course, the Petoskey Stone. The downtown area serves as a hub for resorters from Bay Harbor, Bay View, Harbor Springs, Walloon Lake and Charlevoix. Named one of the “Best Small Towns to Visit in America” by Smithsonian Magazine, Petoskey is a beloved vacation spot for Michiganders and visitors alike.

Our location at 210 Howard Street in the Gaslight District was formerly home to The Braun hotel and restaurant, a frequent haunt of Ernest Hemingway’s in the late 1800s. It is said that Brown’s Beanery in Hemingway’s novella, The Torrents of Spring, is a reference to The Braun itself. Our building is listed in the National Register of Historical Places and recognized by the Michigan Hemingway Society.
